RWPPI opened its booth on March 10th at the CeBIT 2005 fairground in Hanover, Germany (located at Hall 1, Booth #5C6). Expected numbers of visitors are 500,000 as the largest IT show in the world, where RWPPI marked its 4th presence in Europe.
On the booth main stage, the DVD camcorder, DVD recorder, and DVD player were used to demonstrate the "Convenient," "Compatible," and "Reliable" aspects of the DVD-RW recording format, added with the PC software member manufacturers presenting authoring software in between. A new presentation by our media member manufacturer also made the presentation related to DVD-RW and DVD-R gathering many visitors to our booth.
This was also the first time the DVD-ROM as a Hybrid RW Disc was introduced in Europe. The Hybrid RW disc's inner area with the ROM (only for playback) and outer area as RW (Rewritable) positioned both on the same single surface of the disc allows to record where you left off playing games on the same disc as a game disc. It may also be used for protection of personal data recording of encrypted information, or e-commerce for a wide range of applications, drawing strong attention to the visitors.
Furthermore, the widest range of DVD-RW and DVD-R disc displays nowhere seen at CeBIT, along with other DVD-RW and DVD-R related products as DVD recorders, DVD players, DVD writers, latest DVD camcorder, and DVD PC software applications with demonstrations are all presented in one booth.
Also at CeBIT for this time, the results of the Joint Round Robin Test (JRT) jointly conducted with the RDVDC (Recordable DVD Council) were disclosed to the press at the CeBIT Convention Center on March 11th, where many journalists and press related people attended with considerable interest.
RWPPI will continue to make efforts to contribute wide market expansion and popularization of DVD-RW/DVD-R related products on a global scale by holding booths at various shows throughout the world.
