The 15th RWPPI General Meeting was held on October 22, 2002 in Tokyo. We welcomed our new member Moser Baer India Ltd., in which a self -introductory speech was made by them. In continuation, the report by the RWPPI secretariat was made regarding the CEATEC Japan 2002 exhibition show, and future exhibiting plans for overseas events (International CES and CeBIT) were made.
After that, new technology of DVD-RW recording and playback system for digital high definition TV was explained and demonstrated by Pioneer Corporation, which was the focus of interest by the members.
For our special guest lecturer, Mr. Takutoshi Fujiwara, the President and Executive Director of Fujiwara-Rothchild, Ltd. presented the discussion on "The Trend of Rewritable DVD Market," to close our meeting, which was very well received by our members.
