The RWPPI General Meeting held this time is similar to a corporate AGM. Executives are elected, and the recently-concluded fiscal year's accounts and newly-commenced fiscal year's budget are submitted for approval.
Koki Aizawa of Pioneer Corp. was re-elected as Representative, Shigeru Chiba of Sharp Corp. as Vice Representative, and Hiroshi Mizuno of TDK Corp. as Auditor.

The fiscal 2006 business report and audit results were presented for approval, which was forthcoming. The budget for fiscal 2007 was also put before the meeting and was passed as proposed by the RWPPI Secretariat.

Shoji Taniguchi of Pioneer Corp., and chairman of the DVD Forum's Working Group 6, gave a presentation on DVD Forum standards pertaining to CSS Download. Taniguchi spoke about the standards, the background to their establishment, and the challenges they face.

Katsumi Hattori of Nero K.K., made a presentation on a new product: "SecurDisc," which Nero is developing jointly with LG Electronics Inc. Through licensing, there are high hopes that "SecurDisc" will lead to many new business developments.
